Thunderbolt Services

With effect from 1 September 2008, Thunderbolt Solutions separated its Service structure from that of its Sales and Spare Parts offerings in order to better leverage the core competencies within the company aimed at meeting the servicing requirements of its customers.

Service forms the foundation of Thunderbolt Solutions and as such receives a high degree of attention with the result that Thunderbolt Service is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thunderbolt Solutions. The new company falls under the guidance of managing director Des Oliver, a well-known and highly respected printing industry engineer with many years of experience. The company runs from the Thunderbolt Solutions Cape Town office where a fully functioning rebuild centre is situated allowing complete overhauling and rebuilding of equipment, when required.

In order to facilitate the operation of the new company on a national basis, Thunderbolt Services has announced the appointment of Antony Breddy to the position of Service Director. Antony, who was previously the National Technical Adviser for Thunderbolt Solutions, will be based in Johannesburg.

Thunderbolt Services offers two main types of service. First is the regular and routine preventative service where our engineers come to your plant at predetermined intervals to ensure that your equipment runs at its optimum capacity. The second is in the event of a breakdown or technical problem. In this instance, we realise that you need the fastest possible response time and our aim is to ensure that we have a technician on-site within two hours of your call.

Whatever your service requirements may be, Thunderbolt Services can be reached by contacting the appropriate service manager for your region. (See contact us.)

Thunderbolt Services has one of the largest and highest qualified service teams in the country with technicians available to meet your mechanical and electrical requirements. In addition to the full-time, qualified and factory-trained service technicians, Thunderbolt Services also has an in-house apprenticeship programme designed to ensure service continuity, as well as growth for the company to be able to meet the needs of clients into the future.
